I'm a hopeless romantic, a Chicago native, and a professional wedding and engagement photographer. Photography has been a big part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. There was never any doubt in my mind about what I wanted to do. Over the years the camera became more of a continuation of my hand, than a tool. I had the privilege and pleasure to photograph hundreds of couples and collaborate with numerous artists and magazines in the 10 years I have been in business.

I decided this was the year that I would rebrand and rebuild the look and feel of Winterlyn Photography. My clientele was evolving and so had my style and the way I was approaching clients and wedding days. I needed a site that would convey this to someone who clicked on my site.

I wanted a site that conveyed the look and style of my work as well as was informative but not overwhelming to couples who were visiting my site for the first time. I got that and so much more with my new site from Davey & Krista

I have been a client of Davey and Krista for a few years now. I first bought their add-on pages: Wedding packages, and Engagement Session Page. So when I decided to redo my website it was a no-brainer to purchase from Davey and Krista. They have beautiful, well-designed sites that get you so many compliments. They also have amazing customer service that I have used in the past.

I was able to customize the template and publish it within 24 hours 💛 It really is a beautiful template and was so easy to customize with Showit. The morning after launch, I had 5 inquiries waiting for me!

"Using Davey & Krista's design for my website was one of the best decisions for my business! It gives a beautiful, professional storefront to my brand, while also being super easy to customize and navigate. I've used multiple products from their store, including the Portrait Guide, Wedding Guide, pricing pages and more. Their designs have been a game changer for my business!"

I studied photography in college and started assisting and second shooting for a local wedding photographer. I continued to work with her after I graduated and slowly started building my own business. My husband and I got married the same year and decided that we should build the business as a husband and wife team and work together. It’s been nearly 12 years since then!

I decided to redesign our website because I wanted something that looked more high end and functioned better. I also wanted our website to be a place that really showcased us and our work in a beautiful way while still being easy to navigate.

My favorite part of our new website is probably the “about” page. I spent a lot of time thinking about what makes us unique and what we bring to a wedding day. I also loved including things about us as a couple and as individuals that showcase our personalities. We’ve had couples say they knew we were the perfect fit for their wedding after reading about our love for scary movies and video games!

I chose a Davey and Krista template because all of the templates are beautiful and look high end. They are also extremely easy to use and customize. I was able to get our new website out in a few days! Honestly, picking the photos that I wanted to use took longer than customizing the entire website. Lol!

We launched our brand new website last year and the month that it went live, we actually booked 6 weddings! It was amazing!

My name is Niki McCarthy and I live in La Quinta, CA with my husband and our two kiddos. It all began when I found my mother’s 35mm film camera in a storage box, back in 2004. I had already studied drawing and painting, but was so excited to discover this new medium. It wasn't long after I became a young teenage entrepreneur, booking clients right away. After spending most of my life studying everything about art, working in design, corporate branding and management, I decided to take my passionate business of photography full time. Niki Rhodes Photo is now 15 years old and I’m specializing in luxury weddings in California, Oregon and around the world

Two reasons…

1. I hadn’t updated my sites design for about 5ish years and I was noticing that the layout of my site had become outdated. It was time to update the design to give the viewer more of an adventure to explore and learn more about me as the photographer, rather than just showcasing a portfolio.

2. We moved to California 2 years ago and I am yet again in a season of rebuilding my network and clientele. It was time for a rebrand and reset that matched my growing business. I have a specific client in mind and if I want to attract them, my first touch point needed to reflect that.

The entertainment of the navigation. A good site keeps its viewers there for a bit. It keeps them interested and wanting more. It keeps them navigating, clicking, reading, exploring and curious.

The design was modern but diverse. It was simple and clean just like my brand, but has old world classic touches.

I spent a few weeks researching templates all over the web. Spent time looking at boutique designs on Etsy or more mass produced brands. Things I was looking for was a specific design, design freedom, style, navigation, price and extra perks like education, community and accessibility to the designer for any help along the way.

I kept coming back to Davey and Krista’s templates. The designs were perfect for my new brand and it was moldable enough to insert me own style, but structured enough where it would save me time.

The price was just right, it fit my budget perfectly for what I was looking for since my income is down due to relocation and inflation.

And the cherry on top was the access I got to the creators. I knew if I had any issues or questions I could speak to you directly for help. That’s so important to me, I want to know the creators!!

Unfortunately I don’t have any numbers to share. I updated my site during peak wedding season, so now that I am in booking season, I’m hoping to have a better idea of any new business drumming up soon.

I am also in a new location so I have to start from the bottom, building a new network again.

My old website was several years old, it was the first website I made when I got really serious with my business, but I had changed both in terms of the direction I wanted to go with my photography as well my overall style and aesthetic.

My interest in photography started in high school. I took a photography class on a whim because I needed to fill elective credits and I ended up really loving it. I learned to shoot and develop film in that class and it was so much fun. Unfortunately as I got older and life got crazy, I kind of fell out of doing photography for a while but I decided to jump back in and bought myself

my first DSLR about 8 years ago and I've been putting everything into it ever since. I decided to completely focus on wedding photography about 4 years ago and that has been really great!

I decided to redesign my website for a couple of reasons. My old website was several years old, it was the first website I made when I got really serious with my business, but I had changed both in terms of the direction I wanted to go with my photography as well my overall style and aesthetic. I wanted to redesign my website in hopes of moving into a more luxury wedding photography bracket. I wanted a website that looked a lot more professional and clean and easy to follow.

I love so many things about the new website. I love the overall aesthetic of the website and the fact that it looks good with any wedding I post. The modern simplistic feel to it really allows you to go in a lot of directions. I also love how easy it was for me to put a lot of information on the website but in a way that made it flow and not seem so overwhelming.

When I first started on showit, the template I used was a Davey and Krista template, so when I decided I was going to take on a redesign I looked through all of the free templates on showit again, but I was having trouble finding one that really had everything I wanted already. I really didn't want to have to make parts of the website from scratch, it's just not something I am good at! I really liked the aesthetics of the Davey and Krista templates I had already seen on the free options so I decided to go to your site to see if there was anything that checked all of my boxes. I'm so glad I did because I love the template I have!

It's only been a few months since I launched the new website but the feedback has been amazing! A few months before I decided to redesign, I had raised my prices considerably. I was getting visits to my website but not a ton of that was converting into inquiries. In the last month or so I have really seen an increase in inquiries coming through, and a lot of those inquiries have booked at my new higher packages. Almost every couple that I have had a consultation with mentioned how beautiful and informative my website was.

My name is Dericus Paul. I am a husband and a father to two handsome boys, and currently expecting another little one. I am also a wedding and portrait photographer based in Savannah, Georgia.

Photography has been an interest of mine for a long time, but it remained just a hobby until after I finished college and started working in Information Technology. I used my knowledge to develop a website business, which later evolved into a photography business. It all began with one client who wanted product photos for their website, and from there, I got my first wedding photography job through a referral from them. Since then, my photography career has taken off.

The main reason for redesigning my past website was the lack of interest, traffic, and professional appearance. It did not reflect my photography skills or my brand, which I wanted to showcase to my ideal clients.

My favorite thing about my website is how clean and attractive it looks. It reflects my photography style, which is light and airy, and it's very easy to navigate. When you visit my site, you won't have to hunt to find out what I'm all about or the type of work I do.

I searched and searched for a website template that I could you right out of the box and couldn't find what I was really looking for. I went into it with these few things.

Easy to implement.

I love the Davey and Krista templates so much that I have purchased two of them. After using the first template, I noticed a 40K increase in bookings compared to the previous year. Moreover, the traffic on my website and my current SEO performance have helped me rank at the top of the search results for 'Savannah Georgia wedding photographer' on Google.

Hey there! I’m Kait Dobbins, and I run a boutique wedding photography company, Palometa Print Company, with my husband, Hayden. Based in Charleston, SC, we specialize in destination coastal luxury weddings and bring a classic editorial style to each photograph. I got started in the wedding photography industry back in 2016 and have been in love with it ever since!

We decided to redesign our website because our business and style had grown and evolved to take on a more timeless and elegant approach to photography. I built our old website in a program that was much less user friendly and my old template required endless work to customize. We ultimately decided we needed a new solution and our Davey & Krista template was the perfect choice for us!

Our new website represents our style and business in a way that I didn’t imagine was possible. I loved how seamless, quick and responsive the template was. Additionally, I loved how many prebuilt pages there were that I genuinely needed. When I have new clients now, I can send them my wedding pricing page, my engagement guide and my full wedding day preparation guide easily from my website. This has saved me countless hours of work and improved my client relationships substantially!

Yes! I’ve received so many compliments on our website from the ease of use to the presentation of work! I’ve been able to raise my overall prices and feel confident in the experience my clients are receiving from start to finish. It has leveled up my first impressions with our couples and given me the tools I needed to succeed in my business!

First starting out I made a DIY Wordpress website that I could never quite get right! Following a rebrand, I was so excited to create a new online home for my business that really showcased my aesthetic and upleveled my business's first impression!

My website is clean, beautiful, and perfectly showcases my photography offerings. Since I photograph weddings and families, I really appreciated the template's ability to feature both prominently! It makes it so easy for my clients to navigate to where they need to go! I also purchased many of Davey & Krista's Add-On page templates to create a cohesive and beautiful experience for my clients from first inquiry through album design.

I hired someone for a full website design but due to some unforeseen circumstances, she was unable to finish it. I knew I needed to get a new site up and running quickly, and I just love the look and user experience of Davey and Krista sites! It was incredibly easy to customize (even though I was learning Showit for the first time) and allowed me to easily make adjustments that were important to showcasing my brand and presenting my work in a high-end way.

Since launching my Davey and Krista site, my inquiries are continuing to increase, and because the site is so easy to optimize for SEO, visits to my website have increased 91%!

I’ve worked so hard to increase my SEO and with so many people landing on my website, I knew it needed an upgrade.

I started my business in the Fall of 2020 - yes in the middle of the pandemic. We had just had our third baby and I scheduled a photo session to document that new season. We left the session and all I could think on the drive home was “I could totally do that!” And I did! I quickly found free education on how to shoot, found some wonderful educators and dove headlong into investing in becoming a family photographer. Three years later, I can’t imagine doing anything else!

This past year, I’ve started focusing on providing a rockstar client experience (client wardrobe, offering hair + makeup, etc.) for the mamas that I serve. As I began to implement changes to my client experience, I knew my website needed to reflect how my brand is set apart from the dozens of family photographers in my area. I’ve worked so hard to increase my SEO and with so many people landing on my website, I knew it needed an upgrade.

It’s hard to pick one favorite thing about the new site, but I really love the about page! While I strongly believe in a personal brand, it's hard to write an entire page about yourself. The layout of each canvas and pre-filled text from the template gave me a jumping off point to create a page that shows who I am and the value I bring as a photographer.

I follow a lot of Showit designers but have always loved the designs and educational resources from Davey + Krista. I knew I wanted to use one of their templates and when I saw the Amelia Island design, I fell in love! I feel like the design is timeless and displays my work and brand in a sophisticated way. It was so easy to plug in my images and the copy I had pre-written. I launched the site in April and saw an increase in inquiries almost right away. I just had my busiest month of sessions ever in May and plan to increase my prices next month!

I decided to migrate to showit with Davey and Krista and it was a great move for us, per Krista's recommendation.

- My photography journey really started in high school, but I've officially been in business since 2012. Majoring in journalism led me to fall in love with photojournalism. I started my business shortly after college graduation and focused on weddings and families. I pivoted to focus on family and branding photography in 2020!

- My site has been live since 2009 and has seen many renditions. My husband is a designer, so he has historically helped me with the design and we teamed up with other creatives to build my site on wordpress over the years. I've been watching Davey and Krista and their offers for years, but wasn't in a place to change directions with my site until last year when Flothemes sold their business. When my website redesign became inevitable rather than just a desire, my husband and I decided that it was best for us to find a team we could trust to help with all of the migration, tech specs and design. We are both much more involved in our careers with a young family and wanted an outsider's expertise and advice!

The ease!!!! I decided to migrate to showit with Davey and Krista and it was a great move for us, per Krista's recommendation. I can easily change things on my own without the need from a developer or designer.

After 12 years in business, I feel more confident in what I needed and wanted. For some, that means more custom, but for me personally, I wanted something elegant and simple. I work with amazing mamas who are very busy and I wanted a beautiful site, but even more so, I needed a site that was straightforward and easy to navigate for busy mamas. It was so great to see a template and have a good idea of the bones of the site and have a template to work from as I coordinated my images and content. It was the best of both worlds.

Ya'll, I'm so old school. I know I should know these numbers inside and out, but I just don't. I haven't seen any major changes, but I expected a loss of inquiries during that initial SEO drop from migrating, but I haven't really seen that. This may not be a note to include from me. I wish I could give you numbers but honestly, my success here is that I have a beautiful(!) site that was done for me in a pretty effortless experience. Ya'll made it so easy. It was the least painful web experience I've had and I am just so thrilled to have a site that reflects my brand well and that I can update easily. As a busy mom myself, I wanted this experience to be seamless, and it really was so easy. That's HUGE for me!

My first priority after the site "upgrade" was a [nearly double] price increase on all my packages.

Desktop is *chef's kiss* We couldn't have done it as well without the template.

I've always been one to push boundaries. Socially, I was known as stubborn; in school, I wanted to master all the subjects; in art, I wanted to be seen as "different/unique". I was 14 years old when I was given my first point and shoot camera, and I remember exploring my back yard with urgency - I suppose I thought I was going to be the next O'Keefe. I found a tree frog and followed him around for an hour. Two photos came from that experience, one of him in the most angular and interesting pose on a tree branch, and the other was a perfect mirror reflection on a wet window of our home. I remember proudly taking the file to my art teacher at school. She helped me to print on a large fine art paper and she took time out of her lunch break to show me how to cut my own mat. I still have that tree frog to this day, and he is a reminder that exploring [like my back yard!] what feels good to you, your soul, and your business is how you'll build your own unique personal brand....and stick to it!

I am beginning my journey in educating other business owners about brand strategy and authenticity within their brand. In practicing what I preach, I wanted people to come to my site and get a feeling - a little celebratory mixed with a little coastal serenity.... just the way it'd be if you were standing with me.

It feels very clean and very mature. There's lots of white space, and lots of room to breathe between sections. This is a personal preference, but I didn't want there to be anything too trendy, anything that I would be tired of next year. I wanted the site to be able to grow with me.

Davey and Krista are one of the few that value functionality alongside form. I saw too many templates that looked pretty, but they were not set up to enhance the client experience. For example, the templates with D&K were perfectly arranged to instigate a longer session on the site, often leading the viewer to click around.

I have noticed TONS of positive changes. My first priority after the site "upgrade" was a [nearly double] price increase on all my packages. No harm there; in fact, I think my clients take me much more seriously with a well-done website alongside "take-me-seriously" prices. Lastly, I get wayyy less email messages asking me for more information about my services; overall, people sell themselves on my site and simply book themselves via the integrated Honeybook contact form. I'll never go back to a DIY website.

I used to be an attorney. As cliche as it sounds, life is short, so I chose to chase the passion: Dressage and Horses!

I chose to redesign my website because I did a complete rebranding, both of my training business and sales business. The new website provided me with an opportunity to express myself to a new community, invite people inside my world, and check out my many gorgeous sale horses and ponies.

It's hard to pick a favorite part about my website! Emma, who I worked with, did a fantastic job with the colors and fonts. It's pretty and welcoming. I love how the template gave a lot of different options for photos and layout, so each page has it's own vibe. And of course, the Sold page is just wonderful. It's an opportunity for my clients to write about their experience buying a horse from me and how their lives are enriched with their new horse.

Emma, who I worked with and was instrumental in the entire process, recommended Davey and Krista. When I came across the right template, the feeling was immediate!

The website launch totally launched by business into a new sphere. I don't have specific numbers, but I get a lot of compliments from both training and sales clients on the site.

I'm Tiffany, a wife, a mama of two boys with 12 12-year age gap, and a motherhood, family, and heirloom portrait photographer in Savannah, Georgia. I've lived in the Savannah area my entire life, and I love it! I've always loved taking pictures, but when my first son was born, I wanted to learn more about photography. My friends started to notice my photographs and several of them encouraged me to pursue photography as a business. In 2018, my Dad passed away suddenly. When I was looking for pictures of him, I realized I had lost many that were on an old hard drive. Thankfully, a lot of them were printed. That ignited a passion in me to make sure the families I photograph have tangible artwork from their sessions. I want their photographs to be around for a long time so that when the ones in them are gone, they can still pass down their memory and special moments to future generations.

I started out photographing everything. But over the years, I realized that what I really loved was serving mothers and families. My business and I grew a lot over 13 years, and I didn't feel like my previous website reflected what my business had evolved into. It didn't get across what was most important to me.

I love how seamlessly everything flows together and how easy it is to navigate. There aren't a million different drop-downs or tabs, and it simplifies the client experience.

The template had everything I needed! When I become overwhelmed, I tend to shut down. A template seemed a lot easier than building an entirely new site.

I have noticed several keywords that I wasn't previously ranking for are starting to creep up, my inquiries are up, and everyone who sees the site compliments how beautiful it is.

I got started in photography as a photojournalist in the Air Force. The Air Force taught me the basics of photography, and I quickly fell obsessively in love with it. My husband and I decided to start working with couples part time while we continued our military service, and the business just grew from there.

I was going through a major life change: my husband changed careers, and we moved across the country for that new job. It just made sense to start fresh with moving to a new place and since we would no longer be a husband and wife team. I also felt like the style and vision for my work had undergone a big transformation, and I wanted my website and branding to reflect that change.

This is hard! I love all of it haha. I love that it feels timeless but still has subtle pops of color and character. The blues we used are *chef's kiss*. I think it's so easy to navigate, and really allows my work to shine.

I have worked with other custom designers in the past, but none that specialized with photographers or those in the creative field. I truly believe that made the difference in this experience. Your team just "gets it" and the process was made so simple.

Have you noticed any differences in your business since your launch?

I get compliments all the time, whether from past clients, new clients or vendor friends. I was so embarrassed of my old website. I just did not feel like it was doing the work justice and was probably holding me back from my goals. I would never share it. As I'm getting settled in Phoenix and making connections with other photographers, it's something that I am proud of to share, and I feel like it is a strength for my business. Once I dig in with SEO in this new market, I'm excited to see where it takes me!

I started wedding planning because, coming from a big family, I've always loved bringing people together and finding reasons to celebrate. There's something special about organizing events that create lasting memories. My passion for planning and my keen attention to detail made it a natural fit—I enjoy ensuring that every celebration is not only beautiful but also perfectly executed.

It was actually a website/company launch! I had just started my new business and new I needed an incredible website that showcased the beautiful weddings and events I produce.

Honestly it is a tie between the portfolio and the blog page. I love the portfolio page because I think it does such a good job highlighting incredible weddings. The blog page might be my actual favorite because I was so hesitant at first to include it at all on the website. After talking to the Davey & Krista team they explained why it was so important and I decided to include it. Now I love that I can tell the stories behind each wedding and what made them special!

When choosing a design team for my website I honestly didn't know where to start. Once I saw the Davey and Krista templates it was easier to visualize what I wanted in a website and how that would come together. Not to mention how many different templates they had to offer!

Still early but hoping to see changes soon!

Davey and Krista's sites are easy to use, totally customizable, and have transformed my business.

I am a Jersey Shore wedding and portrait photographer. I am in my 5th year of business, but my first year full-time. It has been on my heart to serve people; and photography has always been a passion of mine. My couples and families know me for my true to color, film-emulating editing style. They seek me out for my organic prompting during coastal shoots that lead to timeless, heirloom photographs. Their memories are so important to me.

My business is completely grass roots; and I am a solo-preneur. I am in the mid-average price range in my area. However, I seek to provide a luxury experience from the second a client hits my website. Website design, SEO, and the backend of business have previously been a huge pain point in business. It is something I am definitely working hard to overcome. I am always looking to learn, grow, and improve to provide the best experience I can.

I decided to redo my website to give my clients a clear expectation when they book. My previous website was a complete DIY through squarespace (and it showed). It just did not send across the message/brand I wanted to show up as within my business. In fact, I am positive it turned away potential clients. The Amelia Island template aligned identically with the brand I dreamed of creating for my clients. Davey and Krista's sites are easy to use, totally customizable, and have transformed my business. I am still in the middle of my website build-out, but I am already seeing such improvements in my business from it.

My favorite part of my website is the overall design and the content layout. Davey and Krista made it so seamless to install and input strong copy. This, in-turn, converts leads and improves my SEO. Amelia Island is both elevated luxury and laid back.

I believe their template design, support, and add-ons are unmatched. I did so much research. There is truly nothing like them on the market. I had previously looked into outsourcing. They gave me the confidence to attempt to build my own website. I am so happy with how everything turned out.

My SEO has improved immensely; and I have barely scratched the surface on their resources to continue to improve my business. I had two clients find me via google which has NEVER happened in my five years doing business. I am on track to improve my booking rate by over 40%.

What started as a solution to simplify my own life has grown into something so much bigger, and it has been amazing to build a business that helps families everywhere make every meal matter.

Hi, I’m Karen, founder of Loop & Dash, a company dedicated to helping busy families streamline dinnertime so they can focus on what really matters—connecting around the table. As a wife and mom/step-mom of four, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to juggle work, kids, and everything else life throws at us - cooking dinner can feel overwhelming.

I started Loop & Dash because I believe dinnertime should be about more than just food—it’s about creating memories and deepening relationships. What started as a solution to simplify my own life has grown into something so much bigger, and it has been amazing to build a business that helps families everywhere make every meal matter.

As my business has grown, I realized my old website didn’t truly reflect the heart of what Loop & Dash is all about. I wanted a website that felt warm, inviting, and personal—a place where visitors could immediately feel the connection and ease we bring to their lives. Beyond the aesthetics, I needed a site that could support the practical side of our business, like showcasing the features of our membership and making it easy for people to join. Redesigning the website was an opportunity to align the look and functionality of Loop & Dash with the vision and mission behind it.

Oh, where do I even begin? I love how the design perfectly balances beauty and function. It feels the way I want people to feel about Loop & Dash - it's warm, approachable, and intentional. It seamlessly showcases everything Loop & Dash offers while making it easy for people to take action. I also love how intuitive and clean the navigation is; it’s now so simple for visitors to find exactly what they need, whether they’re exploring the membership or looking for helpful resources.

I chose a Davey and Krista template because their designs are not only stunning but also incredibly smart. They understand how to create websites that feel inviting while also converting visitors into customers. I loved that their templates gave me a professional, polished foundation without sacrificing my brand’s unique personality. Plus, the process was straightforward, which was a lifesaver for a busy mom running a business. I didn’t feel overwhelmed at any step.

I’ve been working with Davey and Krista for a couple of years now, and their customer service and responsiveness are truly unmatched. Anytime I have a question or need support, they’re always super responsive and helpful. Knowing I had their team in my corner gave me so much confidence during the redesign. Their templates and their team made this entire process seamless.

Absolutely! Since launching the new website, I’ve seen a 30% increase in membership sign-ups, and my email list has grown significantly as well. I also hear from so many people about how much they love the site and how easy it is to navigate. Having a website that feels authentic and functional has made it easier for me to connect with my audience and build trust. It’s been such a rewarding transformation, and I’m so glad I made the investment in this redesign.

I am a former nanny, and household manager turned devoted wife and homeschooling mother of two, with a heart for serving others and a deep love for the Lord. My passion lies in making people feel seen, loved, and cared for in every interaction. Nearly three years ago, I followed my calling into photography and have embraced it as both an art and a profession. I prioritize ongoing education in the photography industry to ensure I bring the best to every session and every client.

I chose to redesign my website to better reflect my commitment to professionalism and organization. Photography is more than just capturing beautiful moments. It's about running and sustaining a thriving business, which requires dedication and hard work.

I’m absolutely in love with my new website, every part of it! The homepage is a favorite because it’s the first thing my clients see, setting the perfect tone. I also appreciate the built-in FAQ section, which makes it easy for clients to find answers to their questions quickly. The clean, minimalistic design highlights my work beautifully while delivering the exact message I want my clients to take away. It’s simple, effective, and perfectly aligned with my vision.

I’m genuinely in love with the Davey and Krista aesthetic and was immediately captivated by the simplicity and elegance of your templates. In full transparency, I enlisted the help of a VA (Jess Prater from Jess Prater Virtual) to design my new website after purchasing it, as balancing work and homeschooling leaves me with limited time.

I recently launched my new website, and I’m thrilled with the response so far! In just a week, inquiries have started pouring in, and I’ve already booked both my highest package and my mid-tier package. I’m currently connecting with potential clients to turn their inquiries into bookings. 2025 is already shaping up to be an incredible year; I couldn’t be more excited!

1. I started out about 10 years ago or so when I bought a used DSLR and a "nifty-fifty" and completely fell in love with taking photos. As the years go by, I would take breaks and continue to go back because I loved it so much. I finally decided to make it "official" and have been a business since March 2023 and I am still continuing to learn and grow!

2. I decided to redesign my website because I know how crucial the website is for a creative, it truly gives clients a sense of who you are, what you do, and why you're "the one". I needed a solid site to bring all of those pieces together.

3. My favorite part of the website is the simplicity, yet sleekness of the design, allowing for easy access, but also visually pleasing!

4. Davey and Krista templates are sleek, beautiful, and easy to use, giving you a stunning, high-end website that draws clients in every time! It doesn't stop after you purchase a one-time template, though. You get wonderful, free resources as well as support even afterwards! You are a customer for life and I will definitely use them again!

5. Within two months after launching my new site in January, my inquiries have nearly doubled and I have already booked more sessions in these 3 months than the majority of the past year! The change has been amazing!

1. While I have always been drawn to beautiful photography, I did not purchase my first crop sensor DSLR until 2016 at the age of 31, shortly after my first child was born. I learned to shoot in manual from the beginning, and in the summer of 2017 I started my family photography business while I had another part-time job. As my family grew, so did my business, and I eventually resigned from my day job to spend more time with my family, and my photography business allowed me to contribute to our income and have flexible hours. In 2019, our church preschool asked if I would be interested in doing their preschool portraits, and that was the beginning of my boutique school photography business, which is now my focus and niche, and so fun! When I’m not working my business, I love spending time with my husband and four children, homeschooling, drinking cold brew coffee, and enjoying the community in Tulsa, OK.

2. I recently decided to change the focus of my business from family photography to school photography, and I wanted my website to reflect that change and get a refresh. Marketing to schools is obviously different than marketing family portrait sessions, and I decided I would like to completely overhaul my website so that it reflected my new business goals.

3. I love the aesthetic of my website and the way it is so cohesive, clean, and easy to navigate. I now have a dedicated section for school portraiture that I can easily send to prospective schools that I’m proud of!

4. I had looked into paying a web designer to redo my website. In addition to the big ticket price, I felt like the template options that were offered to me did not really fit the unique needs of business now that I’m no longer primarily marketing traditional portrait sessions. A friend of mine had recently redone her website with a Davey and Krista template and I thought it was so beautiful. I have used Showit for years and loved that Dave and Krista’s templates easily fit into what I already used, and the price was a fraction of the cost to pay someone to do the website for me. I knew that I wanted to write my own copy and be able to make specific changes, and felt that it would not be that much more work for me to do the actual design since I would already be writing copy and choosing images. If I’m doing that work, I felt a less expensive (and beautiful!) template was a better choice than paying someone else. I was able to use the Davey and Krista template to make sure my end result was beautiful and functional!

5. I love that now that I have a new website I can proudly direct prospective schools to my page, which provides them with client reviews, sample images, and even a click-through option to understand the process of booking picture day with me for their school! I have also worked on my Showit SEO and it’s been fun to see how high I am on google for preschool photography in Tulsa!
