Ever since I can remember, I’ve been interested in the arts and creative endeavors. When I was around 15, I used to paint oil on canvas and I believe this love for the visual arts carried on to adulthood. I went to school for Advertising, and while my original plan was to become an art director for an Ad agency, I also realized that I loved the personal, one-on-one component of being a photographer. All it took was one Photography class in college and that piqued my interest. A few years later, what had started as a hobby, evolved into a freelance opportunity and later became what it is today, my business, Bluespark Photography.

I designed my first website around 2012, and understandably, ever since, it’s taken many different forms. I have really only found two designs I was absolutely in love with— the one I had until 2023 and this one. After a few years of having the same design, I wanted to give my site a sort of refresh button and also help me reflect the way my style has evolved into what it is today.

It feels like my home. It’s simple, yet aesthetically pleasing. There’s no clutter. Images can be large without being overwhelming. I’ve curated my portfolio to show the best of what I can do for my clients and if someone doesn’t know about me or my work, they can very easily navigate the entire site. The minimalistic and clean look aligns very well with my style too.

The design was an immediate yes for me, I was looking for something modern and easy to navigate. And once I started implementing the design, I found even more ways to make it my own. The installation process took me a minute (but only because I had been out of the wordpress game for years) but once I got the hang of it, it was so easy and intuitive.

Honestly— not yet. I kind of announced it on social media, but it is still very new and my socials are not very active so I’m not discouraged by the slow response. I do believe that it will attract the kind of client I best serve, since it does such a beautiful job at showcasing my work. I’m excited to see what kind of effect the new site will have on potential clients.

- I started photography about 7 years ago, transitioning from a career in graphic design. While I had enjoyed photography for a long time, what truly sparked my interest in wedding photography was when I had the opportunity to photograph one of my friends' weddings. It was during that experience that I discovered my passion for capturing the magic of weddings and decided to pursue it as a career, ultimately building my business from there.

- I felt that a new website will better showcase my work, and I wanted something that will represent my aesthetic while also being user-friendly.

- I love everything about my website.

- Hiring the right team to redesign your website is so important.

- Not yet! :D

When a client can see themselves and their event in the space, that's when they feel confident booking with us.

One area we really focus on when we get a lead, is helping them envision what it would look like to host their wedding or event on our property. We have a really unique space, so it can be hard for a client to picture what their event would really be like at the farm. When a client can see themselves and their event in the space, that's when they feel confident booking with us. Our website is really the first step in that process, and we could not be happier with our D&K site. They were really amazing at guiding us through the balance of having meaningful and informative copy throughout the site, as well as designing something visually beautiful that really showcases our venue. I feel like every page tells the story of what we offer. Besides just their objective knowledge and skill in the areas of site design, SEO optimization, and branding- the big reason we loved working with Davey and Krista is because they listened to us- our story, our needs, what our clients are looking for and designed a site that really reflects those things. One of my favorite things to hear during a tour of the farm is that the feel a client got from our website and the in person feel of touring the farm felt so cohesive. There are a lot of wedding venues out there now. What we most often hear from our clients is that the first thing that stood out to them when they were shopping for a venue, was our website.

I am married to a handsome, hopeless romantic who celebrates every month we are married with a love note, poem, or back rub.

My name is Rachel Gabrielse, well, it used to be. Back in 2015 I married my high school sweetheart and received a new last name. However, my photography journey started years earlier so I hold onto my maiden name for my business as a sentimental way to honor where this all started. I am a 31 year old Michigan girl raising three precious humans and drinking every iced coffee I can along the way. I am married to a handsome, hopeless romantic who celebrates every month we are married with a love note, poem, or back rub. We love Jesus, exploring new countries, and singing the Encanto soundtrack on repeat with our kids. I shop almost exclusively at H&M and believe dark chocolate chips should top off every meal.

When I was in eighth grade I told my Dad that I wanted to be a wedding photographer. Together with my mom, they found a local photographer looking for an assistant and now almost two decades later I can honestly say that I am living my dream job. I shot my first wedding thirteen years ago and since then have gotten to shoot over 300 beautiful love stories around the world from the rocky shores of Lake Como, Italy, to the pristine dunes of White Sands National Monument, New Mexico, to a quaint little town in Southern France. I wish I could go back and tell middle school Rachel to never stop dreaming because it quite literally is better than I even could have imagined.

About eight years ago I created my first website. I always loved the simplicity of it, but last year I really desired something more sophisticated, clean, and classic that would reflect my best work from the past thirteen years. I immediately fell in love with the Mariselle template from Davey & Krista with its unique design, incredible fonts, and minimalistic elegance. I actually had a developer sketch a custom site, but it did not compare with the Davey & Krista template, so I ended up purchasing it and could not be more pleased with the result!

My favorite part of my new website is the home page. My old home page simply had one large image and my logo, but now it features various sections with easy to navigate call to actions, testimonials, and links to specific galleries and portfolios.

Since launching my new website, I have booked my highest collection price yet and have had a large increase in website views!

I could not be more pleased or more grateful for Davey & Krista and their incredible templates!

Hi Krista,

My apologies for the delay. Here ya go. Please feel free to fix any grammer or if you think the wording needs to be changed. Writing is not my forte!!!

Hi, I'm Casey. I'm a New Orleans based wedding and portrait photographer.

Growing up my mom was / still is a photographer and when I was 25 I traveled to Paris myself and my mom let me borrow her camera. For 10 days I viewed the city through a different perspective. From that moment on I knew I was meant to be a photographer as well.

I decided to redesign my website because I wanted to include more than just my wedding portfolio and I was looking for a template that had a clean / modern aesthetic that I could also incorporate my portraits and interior images.

One of my favorite parts of my website is the layout and all the extra features it includes.

I love this template because it's timeless and chic. Easy to navigate and I love the font options.

Since using the Marseille template I'm definitely attracting the cliente I have envisioned working with.

I have always had a passion for photos and would tell people I would love to do photography. My friend from nursing school ended up picking up a camera and starting when she had her first child. Once I got pregnant with my first child, I got advice from her and got started with my first camera that my dad had bought me years back! My little girl got my business started and was my first model. It started with childhood mini sessions and grew from there!!

As much growth as I have had since my old website was created, I knew it did not represent me or my business anymore. I want to draw in those ideal clients and needed my dream website to do so!!

Oh that is such a hard question!!! I love everything about it and feel like my ideas and dreams were turned into reality. I love my new logo with the added bow!! It is such a cute and feminine touch that I feel represents me well. I would say my wedding page is my favorite. The way it portrays me as a photographer and shows clients what they will be getting if they work with me, it is perfect!

I have always admired Davey and Krista and their work. All of their website templates are beautiful and clean and have the high end feel which is exactly what I was going for!

So far I have not noticed much of a difference. I am hoping with engagement season coming up that will change!!

I'm an intuitive wedding photographer serving the Phoenix and Southwest markets. As an introvert, I lean into my quiet confidence and calm presence to guide my clients through their wedding experience. I photographed my first wedding in 2010 as a hobbyist. After taking film photography in high school, a dear friend asked me to capture her wedding. I was surprised with how much I enjoyed the process and how well the photos turned out! I pursued a degree in business and eventually went full-time in 2014.

In the Spring of 2024, I participated in a mastermind by The Level Up Co (led by Taylor Petrinovich and Kelley Gilster) that encouraged their students to refresh or rebrand their websites. I loved my previous website so it was tough to let go but I channeled my inner Marie Kondo and thanked my site for the journey it provided and trusted Taylor and Kelley that rebranding was the right move. And they were right (they always are). My previous site served me for 8 years but it was time. I've evolved as a photographer and needed a new site to reflect the direction my brand was moving. I have zero regrets about rebranding. I actually wish I would've done it sooner!

It was so fulfilling to see my site come to life as I chose images and wrote the copy for each page. Launching my new site pushed my creativity and was such a fun project during my slower wedding season. I'm incredibly proud of the way it came together. I couldn't have done it without a stunning template and Krista and Davey doing the legwork up front! If I had to choose a favorite part, it would be the homepage. I love how each canvas is designed uniquely and yet they seamlessly work together to create a sophisticated main page. It's clear, easy to navigate, and tells a story at the same time.

I was first introduced to Davey and Krista many years ago through Showit United and have followed their journey ever since. When the time came for a rebrand, they were on the short list of designers I considered. As I reviewed templates and designers, I kept coming back to the Marseille template. I could envision my images and copy in the template and knew I could use the template as is without many changes. I loved the neutral color palette, bold font choices, and sophisticated design. Perfect for my ideal clients.

The wedding leads I'm getting seem to be qualified and "warmer leads." If they've had a chance to deep dive the site before we hop on a call, my booking rate is great. They inherently trust me and find value in the experience I offer. Just after launching my site, I booked a wedding at my highest rate yet at a dream venue in Scottsdale. The client and I connected well on the call and were on the same page about how to bring her wedding photos to life. It was so encouraging and fulfilling to book a client so effortlessly.

I'm Daina Hazel, an Australian wedding photographer based in Italy, working with clients from all over the world who wish to get married in Europe. I used to be a corporate lawyer but I never felt satisfied in that life and so after many years, I went in search of a new career. I started photography as a hobby, but it was when a friend asked me to shoot her wedding, things started to change and I realised how much I enjoyed capturing memories for others.

I've always loved design and website design, but I was looking for a website that aligned with my aesthetic and that could be customised with beautiful fonts, so when I found Showit I knew that although it would require more effort, it would allow me to give the impression I wanted to give.

To be honest, I love the fonts and I love the way I can set out the home page in an elegant and minimal way.

There is a lot of work that is required to start from scratch on Showit, and I loved the way Davey and Krista set out their templates in smart and attractive templates that didn't require hours and hours of designing and editing. Of course, I made their template my own, but I had a great base to start from and the pages all prepared and ready to go for my style of business.

Obviously it's hard to say exactly what the new site has done, but I know for sure that it's created a great impression when I am attracting leads and I've had a lot of compliments about it! My revenue has definitely increased since I've started running ads to the site and gaining more momentum so I'm very grateful that Davey and Krista created these templates!
