I decided to redesign mine because I wanted it to feel more professional and stand out from the rest. I created my original site from scratch with Showit and I think it was better than most in my industry, but still lacked something. My old site felt like a Canva template, but I wanted a template that was designed in Photoshop that I could plug and play with. (I think that analogy would make sense to some..)

My favorite part right now is my "Group Therapy" page. I was able to use parts of the online course page from the template and modify it for my group therapy offering. I would have never imagined it the way it is now and I must say, I've yet to see another offering page as good as this from another counselor. Thank to ya'll!

people considering re-designing their website should know?

If you don't have all the elements of your business ready yet, I believe it's still worth redesigning your site now. In the future I will offer online courses, podcast, workshops, etc but I don't have those ready yet and I thought I needed that. But now I have a much more engaging/well performing site that will set me up for better success when I do launch those things in the future.

in your business since your launch?

I just launched the site 4 days ago so it might be to soon to report specific data, but I have had many people say things like "your site was good before but now it's great. It feels much more on brand for you and is very clear."

If someone was on the fence about a Davey & Krista template, what would you say?

I would mention how they offer the payment plan for templates which I was very grateful for because I wanted to start redesigning but didn't have the funds to purchase it all at once. I've kept up with a lot of Showit designers over the years and what I love about Davey & Krista templates are how professional yet personal they are. I think a good website balances those two things very well and these templates do that. The customer service from them is top notch and I love that it's a family business.

I am Ja'Net Adams and I am the owner of EMACK Consulting, a Financial Wellness company. of your new website? I enjoy the flow of the website. I feel that is what I was missing with my last website. Now I feel if someone comes to the website they will be able to find exactly what they are looking for.

If you are considering re-designing your website and you are someone who has been in business for a few years I suggest you hire a website designer. I designed my first website and it definitely served its purpose, but where I am trying to take my business now I needed a professional who could bring my vision to life.

in your business since your launch?

to see. For example, package? We are in a soft launch phase and already I have received a request to speak in California and sold one of my courses. The speaking engagement alone is a possible $5000+! I can't wait to launch the site fully and see the business that comes in from the new layout!!!

I was always the girl with the side hustle, from my very first business selling jewelry at the age of 10 through college to running a photography business part time for 7 years. your website? After nearly 2 years of running an agency, I started to get a feeling that something wasn't aligned anymore. After sitting with it for some time, reflecting, and being patient with myself I had a big "a-ha" moment where I realized this company is so much bigger than just me. We have a team, a full roster of amazing clients, and I truly feel like we are JUST getting started with where this company will go. It was clear we needed to rebrand and move away from my personal name (previously Abby Martinez & Co) and move into a more thoughtful brand name, which included an upgraded 2.0 version of our branding as well.

Being a creative myself, I knew that I would want to have some control over what the site looks like in the end so it was clear going with a template was going to be the best option. (Plus I actually LOVE working in ShowIt and bringing sites to life, maybe in another life I'd be a designer? lol). I've been following along with Davey & Krista from the early days and I knew I wanted to check out their shop to see if there was a good fit. It was an instant fall in love moment when I landed on the Palm Springs template. It was exactly what I was looking for!

of your new website? Honestly... I love everything about it! If I had to highlight one thing about the website overall is that it's an upleveled brand/site overall and I think it truly reflects the heart of our company. It feels like "US". I also really love the flow of the site and the perfect placement of each next step or button to navigate around the site. I think it is very intuitive and guides people well to next steps. (Which is the point of having an optimized website! Nailed it!)

I've always loved the professional and clean designs you've curated throughout the years and as I envisioned this 2.0 version of my company, I knew right away where to look!

to see. For example, package? It's only been a handful of days since we launched, however we've received quite a few inquiries for our services and have had so many conversations about what we do, why it's important, and many are loving the rebrand! For us, numbers are of course important, AND the impact we make is even more important and when our clients and potential clients can feel our value through our branding, messaging, and the slowed down conversations we have THAT is the magic. Our site directly feeds into this process by captivating the right clients who desire the level of partnership we put out.

Hi, I’m Gabrielle. I live in Northwest Indiana near Lake Michigan with my husband, dogs, and cats. I love traveling, gardening, reading, and catching up with friends over cocktails. My career began in advertising after earning a degree in PR & Advertising from Purdue University. At the full-service agency where I worked right out of college, I got to dip my toes into everything — branding, websites and account management. About five years in, I felt called to make a change and opened a boutique featuring ethically-made and handcrafted goods. I adored running my store, but after six years, shifts in the retail landscape (Covid, Amazon, fast fashion) made it less fulfilling.
